A ranching family in Montana stands up against others encroaching on their land. Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is a seasoned hand in the world of rodeo. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) frequently seems to have "forgotten," losing his Montana accent and going back to the Southern California speaking voice he normally uses. I don't think anyone does Western movies better than Kevin Costner, and with Taylor Sheridan as the writer, it's a win-win for viewers. Check out "Wind River" for an example of what Taylor Sheridan can do. Where has Cole Hauser been hiding? He's amazing. I think the daughter is a necessary part, but she's over the top at being a bitch. The scenery is fantastic, and being from Colorado, I can really enjoy the wide, beautiful landscape. Do yourself a favor and get into this series, because it's going to be a winner.
