A prequel to the original Dune, it tells the story of how the Rossak brotherhood evolved into the Bene Gesserit. The incident with Valja Harkonen using a voice is from one called "Mentats of Dune". All three books intertwine the development of the Sisterhood, Mentats, Navigators, and Sook Doctors.
The quality was good
It's pretty silly to me how many people complain about this show after a decent pilot. I'd give the first episode a 7.6. It wasn't a masterpiece, but it certainly wasn't a dud like so many of these stupid reviewers make it out to be.
Let's release a few more episodes, dammit!
NO, it's not like Sex and the City. And YES, the entire mission of the Benne Ghesserit is to manipulate bloodlines in politics. This is claimed by both the movies and the books, so what are you talking about, giving it 1-5 stars!?
